Brian Windsor, PhDSenior Vice President of Portfolio Company Management, EMERGENT TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Brian currently serves as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Company Management for Emergent Technologies, Inc., an innovation management company located in Austin, Texas. He joined Emergent in the spring of 2004, and during his tenure at Emergent he has served as Managing Director for ten of its portfolio companies, including drug delivery companies Enavail, Appian Labs, and AeonClad Biomedical.He is also a member of Emergent's Strategic Planning Group, which assesses new technology opportunities and oversees formation and implementation of portfolio company strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Texas at Austin, and his graduate work on modulation of drug resistance helped lead to the development of licensed technology. Prior to joining Emergent, Brian served as founder and Vice President of Research and Development for Texagen, Inc., a startup biotech company. He is a co-inventor on 15 patents. |
